Program Description & Structuren
The Joint Masters in Integrative Urban Studies is the first program of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe, offering a multidisciplinary approach to understanding and improving cities.
From urban design to policy-making, this program provides a comprehensive view of the unique challenges and opportunities in post-socialist cities, set against the backdrop of the global trends.
- Semester I (Brno) – Space: Explore the physical structure of cities and how politics, economics, society, and culture intersect to shape urban spaces.
- Semester II (Vilnius) – Actors: Understand cities as processes shaped by socio, political, environmental forces, where different stakeholders—governments, businesses, and communities—interact to build urban futures.
- Semester III (Wroclaw) – Policy: Focus on urban governance and the strategies that cities in Central and Eastern Europe are using to address key challenges like inequality, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
- Semester IV – Thesis: Conduct original research, partnering with local institutions such as NGOs, municipal governments, or international organizations to address real-world urban issues.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., urban studies, social sciences, architecture, or geography).
- English Proficiency: Proof of English proficiency (B2 level or higher) is required.
- Required Documents: A portfolio of previous professional or university projects. The portfolio includes a structured CV and a list of publications and projects. It must be submitted with the application.

A: Non-EU students will need to apply for student Schengen visas for the
Czech Republic, Lithuania, and Poland. Our team will assist with providing the

A: Students cohort will rotate between Brno (Semester 1), Vilnius
(Semester 2), and Wroclaw (Semester 3). During the fourth semester, students can
choose to remain in one of the three cities or work remotely, depending on their
thesis project.

A: Each partner university offers assistance with student accommodation,
including dormitories and private rentals. We recommend securing housing early,
as demand can be high in these cities.
